Your credits and offers are meant to be enjoyed, so it helps to know how long each one lasts and what to do if a deadline is approaching. Here's a clear breakdown of expiration timelines for inKind Cash, inKind Cash Back, and promotional offers, along with the options available if you need a little more time.
inKind Cash Back expires on a rolling two-month window
inKind Cash Back is promotional credit you earn when you close your check with inKind and charge your visit to your credit card on file.
- Two-month rolling expiration. Your inKind Cash Back expires two months from your most recent qualifying transaction, at the end of that month. For example, Cash Back tied to a transaction on 1/10 would expire on 3/31.
- Keep it active by dining. Each qualifying purchase made through the inKind app resets your two-month window.

When it's added. inKind Cash Back is added within 24 hours when you complete a qualifying in-app transaction.
- Qualifying in-app transactions are: a redemption at a participating restaurant, a purchase of inKind Cash, the claiming of an external inKind gift card to your account, or the addition of inKind Cash Back through a qualifying referral redemption.
- Please note: the bonus tied to prepaid inKind Cash offers is provided upfront. No bonus is given at the time of redemption when you are paying with inKind Cash.

- If it expires. Once inKind Cash Back expires, the remaining promotional balance is no longer available.
inKind Cash Back can't be gifted or transferred to another diner. If you think you'll miss your expiration date, please reach out to our support team at support@inkind.com for options and assistance.
Promotional offers
Most general promotional offers expire within 30 days of being claimed or added to your account. A few things worth knowing about how offers work:
- Only one offer can be used per transaction, even when using split pay.
- inKind Cash can't be combined with other offers or rewards.
- Offers must be applied at checkout in the inKind app. They can't be added retroactively.
- Location-specific offers can only be used at the restaurant that provided them.
Welcome and location-specific offers
Welcome and location-specific offers come from a specific restaurant, often for first-time or limited-time use, and may include day-of-week restrictions (for example, valid Sunday–Thursday) or a minimum spend set by the restaurant.
- These offers can't be extended, and their restrictions, such as eligible days or location, can't be adjusted.
inKind Cash expiration
- inKind Cash is your pre-purchased balance, valid at every restaurant on the inKind network. Your paid balance does not expire; your bonus credit expires after 3 years from the date of your most recent transaction. Transacting in the inKind app by reloading your balance or redeeming credit will extend your bonus credit expiration by 3 years.
Gifting and transferring credit
- inKind Cash can be gifted from within the app, and the recipient's gifted inKind Cash won't have an expiration date. It's the best choice for holiday and special-occasion gifts.
- inKind Cash Back or other promotional offers can't be gifted or transferred to another account.
If a deadline is approaching
Plan ahead when you can: use offers within their stated window and keep completing qualifying in-app transactions to keep your inKind Cash Back active. If travel or scheduling makes that difficult, reach out to support as early as possible to talk through your options.
Depending on the situation, support may be able to help in a few ways. These options are reviewed case by case and aren't guaranteed:
- Extensions before expiration. For certain promotional offers, support may be able to extend an offer to a specific date or issue a replacement. Availability depends on the offer type and its restrictions.
- Courtesy extensions after expiration. For some items, including inKind Cash Back, support may be able to provide a one-time courtesy extension after the balance has expired.

What to include when you reach out
To help Support review your request quickly, message us from the app or your email on file and include:
- The type of credit, or the offer name and value
- The current expiration date
- Your planned visit date and any scheduling conflicts
- Any relevant restrictions, such as day-of-week or location requirements
We can't apply offers retroactively to a bill already paid directly to a restaurant, and we can't adjust a restaurant's location or day-of-week restrictions, but we're always happy to look at what's possible.
