Share inKind with a friend and you both get rewarded. Here's how the referral program works — and what to do if something doesn't look right.
How it works
When you share your unique referral link with someone who has never used inKind before:
- Your friend receives a referral reward (typically $25 toward a $50+ purchase) in their Rewards section after creating their account using your link.
- Once they redeem that reward on a qualifying inKind purchase of $50 or more (pre-tax, excluding tip) and close the check through the app, you earn a referral bonus — posted to your Wallet under inKind Cash Back.
Bonus amounts may vary. During promotional periods, referral bonuses can increase (for example, $50 instead of $25). To earn the promotional amount, your friend's qualifying purchase must be completed within the promotional window.

Where to find your credits
- New diner (your friend): Referral reward appears under Rewards in the app.
- Referrer (you): Bonus posts to Wallet → inKind Cash Back after your friend completes a qualifying purchase.
- inKind Cash activity: Viewable under History in the app.
If your bonus shows as Pending, your friend hasn't completed a qualifying purchase yet.
Common issues and how to fix them

| Referral reward not showing for your friend | The link wasn't used before account creation. | Contact support. In some cases, we can add a replacement $25 toward $50 offer to your friend's account. Once redeemed, we can manually credit your bonus. |
| Your bonus is missing | Your friend may not have completed the qualifying purchase, or didn't close the check through inKind. | Confirm your friend paid through the inKind app and redeemed the offer on a $50+ check. Contact support with details if the issue persists. |
| Friend signed up before clicking your link | Referrals must be claimed at account creation. | Unfortunately, the referral link needs to be clicked prior to account sign-up. |
| Friend already had an inKind account | Referrals are for brand-new diners only. | Unfortunately, this referral is ineligible. |
| Received standard bonus instead of promotional amount | The qualifying purchase fell outside the promotional window. | Promotional bonuses can only be honored within a limited grace period after the promotion ends. Contact support to check eligibility. |
Contacting support about a missing referral
To help us investigate quickly, please have the following ready:
- Your name, phone number, and the email on your inKind account.
- Your friend's full name and the phone number or email they used to sign up.
- The date they signed up and the date and time of their qualifying purchase.
- The restaurant name and any relevant check details.
- Confirmation that they clicked your referral link before creating their account and that they paid through inKind (not directly at the restaurant).
